Guccio Gucci started as a craftsman making leather bags. He created most of his classics during the early 1950ís. After Guccio's death in 1953 the company had been taken over by some of the remaining family members. The family quarrels eventually caused problems with the company resulting in its sale and it wasn't till 1990ís, when Tom Ford took over the company that the Gucci brand got back to the centre of fashion world.
The first perfume was introduced in 1974 and was called Gucci no1. This was then followed by Gucci pour Homme in 1976 and was later released as Gucci no.3 in 1985. Gucci 3 is a chypre-floral scent for ladies. It contains a variety of complex ingredients which is one of the qualities that can be expected in Gucci fragrances. Since then Gucci have designed over 20 perfumes and aftershaves which are popular with both men and women.
