Frequently Asked Questions

If you cannot find a sufficient answer on this page please Contact Us and we will be more than happy to help.

Q: What is the postage charge?
A: We charge £4.95 flat rate postage on all our UK mainland Orders, so the more you buy the more you save on postage. On international orders we charge £14.95 flat rate for postage which covers International Signed on most items up to 2kgs.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, we can ship worldwide; the postage charge for international orders is £14.95 and most items are sent by recorded post so it can be tracked in most countries.

Q: How can I order?
A: The quickest way is to order through our website, where you can choose to pay by PayPal or use Secure Payment System through Protx. However if you would prefer to order over the phone or email you can contact us on: 0161 980 5700 or sales@perfumes-4u.co.uk and place your order. Please take note of the product code number - this makes the ordering process more efficient.

Q: Can I pay by Postal Order or a Cheque?
A: We do accept cheques and postal orders. When paid by cheque we wait for the clearance of the cheque before we dispatch the items.
Postal Order/Cheque to be sent to: Perfumes-4u Ltd, Suite 4A, Paul House, Stockport Road, Timperley, Cheshire, WA15 7UQ.

Q: What is the safest way to pay?
A: All ways of payment are secure using our website. However PayPal is a quicker option and you do not have to enter your credit card details every time you use it - this may be a concern to anyone using a shared computer (i.e. a public library).

Q: How quickly will I receive my order?
A: We strive to process our orders on the day of ordering - providing the order has been completed (payment for order has been confirmed) before 12pm. However we hold large amount of stock in our warehouse in Glossop therefore for some items it may take up to 3 working days for the order to be dispatched.

Q: Are all your products originals?
A: All our products are 100% originals and not testers. They all come in original packaging and are new and sealed.

Q: Why is it such a good price?
A: We buy them in bulk which keeps the price down therefore we can sell them at a low price. See our About Us for further details and also links to our eBay and Amazon feedback page.

Q: Why does the price of identical item vary on eBay/Amazon from your Website?
A: When selling through online marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon every seller is charged a fee based on a percentage of the price of the product. This is why we have to build this charge into the price of the product. When we sell a perfume or a cosmetic item through our website, we do not pay any charges; this means the product can be sold cheaper.

Parfum
Most concentrated type of fragrance which is also the thickest liquid, therefore it usually comes in smaller bottles and are applied straight onto the skin onto your wrists or neck area. Because of the thick consistency they are the slowest releasing and longest lasting type of fragrance.

Eau De Perfume (EDP)
Less concentrated than a Perfume but still highly concentrated fragrance which means its lasting power on the skin should be longer than EDT. Please note this depends on the individual personal chemistry of the wearer as well as the outside conditions. Most EDPs come in a spray form.

Eau De Toilette (EDT)
Probably the most common type of body fragrance, it is not as concentrated as EDP and usually comes with a spray applicator. It can found in both Ladies’ and Men’s fragrances. There are some unisex fragrances available on the market; which are also EDTs.

Eau De Cologne (EDC)
Eau De Cologne is not a very common these days and has been replaced by EDTs in the recent years. This type of fragrance has got the shortest lasting power due to the way it has been put together.

Aftershave
As oppose to the above three (which are meant for wrists, neck and/or crook of your arms) an Aftershave is meant for facial skin. It contains less alcohol than the other types of fragrances because it is intended for use on facial skin. It usually comes in a splash rather than a spray.

Perfumed Lotions, Shower Gels and Other Products
These usually accompany the fragrance in all sorts of gift packs and combination. The reason for manufacturers to make these is that they accompany the fragrance and may help intensify the impact of the fragrance on your skin.
